The Gallagher MBS200 energiser gives you the flexibility to power your livestock fence from mains electricity, an external 12V battery or a compatible solar system. If your paddock layout or power access changes, you can adapt the energiser rather than replacing the entire unit.

One Energiser with Three Power Options

Monitor Fence and Battery Performance

The LED bar graph provides an easy way to check fence-voltage performance at the energiser. A noticeable reduction in the display can alert you to vegetation contact, a damaged insulator, a poor connection or another fault placing additional load on the fence.

When operating from a battery, the display also helps you monitor battery condition. Gallagher’s smart battery-management system helps protect the battery from excessive discharge and permanent damage.

Understanding the 20km Rating

The advertised 20km distance represents a clean, well-constructed fence operating under ideal conditions. Gallagher’s recommendation of up to 5km of multiwire fencing is generally a more practical guide for working Australian farm conditions.

Fence distance alone does not determine the correct energiser size. Vegetation touching live wires, the number of electrified wires, poor joins, damaged insulators, unsuitable conductors, long lead-out distances and inadequate earthing can all increase the load placed on the energiser.
