Rolling out hinged joint fence wire safely and efficiently is essential to ensure a successful fencing project and to prevent injuries or damage to the wire.

It is ideal to prepare the work area by clearing any obstacles, such as rocks, debris, or vegetation

Using the Proper Equipment: ensures your safety and makes the job easier, using a fence wire unroller, also known as a wire winder or wire spinner, to safely and efficiently roll out the wire has many benefits for safety, labour efficiency and time saving.

The Jiffy can be tractor, car, UTV and quad bike mounted. Simply make sure the equipment is securely attached and functioning properly and that wire will be rolled out effortlessly in minutes.

We recommend you wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, sturdy footwear, and eye protection.

Plan the Direction of Rollout:

  1.
    • Decide the direction in which you will roll out the fence wire. It is typically easier to start from one end of the fence line and work your way to the other.
    • Ensure the roll of wire is properly positioned on the unroller to unwind in the desired direction.
    • Secure the Start of the Roll by attaching the start of the roll of hinged joint \to the first strainer post  or weigh it down securely on the ground.
    • Check that the wire is aligned with the fence line.
    • Roll Out the Wire along the fence line, ensuring it stays straight and untwisted. Keep the wire under tension while unrolling to prevent it from twisting.
    • Secure the Wire once the wire is rolled out along the fence line you can lift sections and attach it securely to the salvage wires with staples or clips.
    • You can then strain it and clip the rest of the wire off.
